• Protect Our Homes by supporting Neighborhood Block Watch programs in our community and offer neighbors opportunities to bike or walk with an officer. Also, expand the Metro Police Explorer program, which engages teenage youth as trained police volunteers emphasizing community involvement and character development.
• Increase Police Visibility by working together with LMPD and our neighborhoods to develop a more effective patrol plan.
• Bring Police Into Our Neighborhoods by working to allocate more Bike Patrols during peak times and advocating for neighbors to partake in the Citizen’s Police Academy, where people learn about criminal law, how Metro Police is organized, and have the opportunity to engage with our police officers and leadership.
• Help Persons Afflicted By Addiction by supporting community programs with a record of success, such as The Healing Place.
