Businesses & Jobs
• Complete the Dixie Highway Master Plan and Town Center projects so that new and expanding businesses have clear guidelines on our local residents preferred development and to improve our infrastructure and make the corridor more safe.
• Expand Job-Training Programs to give our neighbors more opportunity. Existing, proven programs such as Code Louisville— where folks are taught how to become software engineers— and Kentuckiana Works’ Manufacturing and Health Career Centers, offer training and counseling for folks in high-demand fields. I will continue to expand upon these needed programs.
• Raise The Minimum Wage For Tipped Workers in Louisville Metro by working to update the recent Minimum Wage ordinance— this time, to include all our hard-working neighbors.
• Support A Local Business Job Fair to promote local job opportunities. With the help of the Highlands Commerce Guide, the Louisville Independent Business Alliance and Greater Louisville Inc., we can help our local businesses find the best talent— while also helping our neighbors find the best jobs.
